When your front brake pads need replacing, the first thing our certified technicians do is remove your tires. This provides them access to the calipers on which the brake pads sit. Once they’ve taken out the bolt that secures the calipers in place, then they turn the caliper outwards, remove the brake pad, and replace the pad and clips. After they’re secure, the calipers can be secured, the wheel returned, and the brakes tested. Once we’re satisfied (and once we’ve provided a complimentary multi-point inspection), we return the car to you!

In general, brake pads are replaced every 40,000 to 50,000 miles, but that number changes depending on how the brakes are used, how often they’re needed, what you carry in the car, etc. The most urgent signs you need them replaced are a squealing sound coming from the front, vibration from the brake pedal, or grinding coming from the brakes.
